The heat is finally here! It has been HOT lately. I suppose I can't complain too much since it is mid-July....but 100 degrees is hotter than I remember it.
We have been staying cool in the pool! We have tried to swim at least once a week as a family.

Edison liked this float for about one day, and then he figured out how to flip it over! This kid wants to swim on his own for sure.
Eleanor took swim lessons as well.
Eight consecutive days of torture! Just kidding...there was much bribing, pleading, and begging on BOTH of our parts-- Eleanor was trying to get out of going and I was trying to get her there. But in the end, after she conquered her fear of water on her face, the lessons were worth it. She made GREAT progress. On parent day she was one of the only ones not crying. :) And now she loves jumping off the side of the pool and swimming to me with her face in the water! Great job, kiddo!!
