....and then at night, the boppy has a new occupant. 

It is so funny to watch Jake curl up in that pillow after Edison goes to bed. :)

I am past due for another blog post! We had a very busy December.

In addition to all the regular day-to-day stuff, there were bigger things as well.

I had to grade final exams and final papers and turn in grades for my class.

Eleanor had a birthday. We did cupcakes for her little school party (they gave her a birthday crown, sang happy birthday, and gave her birthday hugs!). She loved passing them out to her friends in her holiday apron. They were s'more themed, which was the theme of her party that we had here at the house as well.

And of course Christmas...

...with lots of family.

This is my favorite age-- look at how adorable he is! He sleeps through the night, everything makes him smile, and he thinks I am the greatest thing on earth. :) 

After Christmas, Adam and I went to Aspen for a few days for some couple's R&R. We skied for 3 days and also did some ice climbing for the first time.

Ice climbing is a lot like rock climbing, but you are climbing frozen waterfalls with additional gear. We each climbed about 3 different runs that day-- about 55' each. There is Adam on his way up!

And now it's January...school started last week for me-- and I am teaching 2 different courses this semester. And-- very exciting!!!-- we are making some new "couple" friends so we can spend time with other adults who have kids that are similar in age to our little ones.
