Is summer really over? After having a baby, leaving my job, and moving to Texas, it is finally time for school to start again. Last week was Eleanor's first full week of school (there were some partial phase-in days before that), Edison has been to 2 days of school, and I start teaching at Baylor next week.

All the changes this summer have been difficult for me. I miss Michigan more than I thought I would. It was a wonderful 5 years and it still feels like home in many ways. But hopefully Texas will feel more like home as we settle in more, make some friends, and get started on our jobs.

On the bright side, my kids are amazing. Look at Edison in his 2 month picture-- and he will be 3 months old next week. It makes me sad that he has grown up so quickly. :)
He is so sweet and smiley and I could just hold him forever.
We have been to see the Baylor bears several times and Eleanor loves all things Baylor. There is even a water tower in town that has the Baylor logo on it, and every time she sees it she says, "Baylor water tower! Sic 'em bears!" Loving Baylor is not a bad thing to do in Waco. :)
And just look at those curls. Her hair has grown so long and it has the sweetest blonde curls at the ends. She is just stunning.
Cheeeeeese!
