More Halloween and Pigtails
Our friends Shannon and Tim hosted a Halloween party on Sunday afternoon,
complete with a pinata for the kids.
The peacock perched precariously as she pedaled down the path.

On Halloween Eleanor made a Mr. Potato head "punkin man."
We weren't planning on going trick-or-treating in our neighborhood since we have never had any visitors in 4 Halloweens. I didn't even buy candy last year or this year since it has never been given away. But our sweet neighbors Seymour and Jane left a bag of candy on our doorstep for Eleanor. So we took it back over so that Eleanor could get in her costume and knock on the door herself. (Since then she has said "knock knock" as she bangs on any closed door in our house.)

Eleanor has been sporting a coarse mullet-ish haircut for quite some time. I finally tried pigtails and doesn't she look like a big girl!!!
Eleanor liked looking at her new hairdo in the mirror.
Love yourself, Eleanor. That is the greatest gift I hope to give you. Know that you are beautiful.
I showed the pigtails to Adam. I expected him to smile and say "cute" and move on. But he couldn't stop staring at her. I think he even got a little emotional. He was so surprised at how much she looked like a little girl instead of a baby. And I think it made him a little sad -- so sweet, daddy.
