Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
Make it stop! Make it stop! Make it stop!

I'm just kidding! The snow really hasn't been that bad this year. I heard Texas had a bit of ice...but we had snow, and lots of it! Although we didn't quite get the 10-15 inches they were predicting, we still had about 6 inches of new snow over night and an additional 2 or 3 inches today.
In the above picture of our front door- I'm not sure if you remember, but we actually have three steps going up to the porch from a sidewalk and garden area. The snow gives the appearance of everything at the same level. |
In our garden area- snow up to the base of our lawn chairs!
The piles at the end of the street from the snow plows are quite high at this point. And you can see where poor Jake and Tucker had to make a path for themselves in the yard. Tucker loves snow and was so excited- he bounded around and I saw him smiling. Jake did his business this morning out of necessity, but then in our second trip outside he refused to go in the snow. He just stood by me, watched Tucker run around, and gave me a Really, Mom?! I have to be outside in this? look.
More piles than usual.
Norre kept warm dressed as a pink fleece bear when we had to make a quick trip to school yesterday in preparation for the storm- notice the ears! (Once again the cute outfit is from Aunt Rox!- THANK YOU!)

A few days ago I was listening to a conversation between Adam and Norre....it was a bit one-sided, but they were talking about skiing. Adam can't wait until Norre is old enough to ski with him. He's convinced she'll be the next Peekaboo Street. So I purchased a size 12 month ski bib at Target on clearance for $3. I'm pretty sure she won't be walking (much less skiing) at 12 months- (shhh! don't tell Adam)- but I thought they could at least use our sled together next year. They're quite fond of eachother, those two. And it makes my heart so so happy.
