I have the sweetest husband in the world! YLOH called me yesterday to tell me that he had a surprise for me and that he would like for me to come home from work as soon as possible. I got home from work around 4pm, and then we got all dressed up and went to an amazing dinner at the Reata steakhouse and to the Bass Hall for The Nutcracker ballet. It was BEAUTIFUL!
~
Sometimes- actually most of the time- I wish I was a ballerina. They are so full of grace. I took ballet at Baylor for 2 semesters just because I felt so beautiful and graceful when I was dancing. Are you familiar with the Mercy Me song I Can Only Imagine? One of the lines asks "will I dance for You Jesus, or in awe of You be still..." I have to say that I will dance before I fall to my knees in awe.

Downtown Fort Worth is beautiful at night, especially at Christmas time. There is a large Christmas tree in the middle of Sundance square that sparkles with lights and a lot of the buildings and trees are lit up as well. The whole night felt so magical...

So thank you, my love, for such a thoughtful and beautiful night. I love you very much.

For some reason, I couldn't get this one to post with the other pictures. But here's me and my puppy watching the Baylor homecoming parade.

Around the world in 30 days...
For those of you who have been wondering where I have been...we've been busy!
First, we went to Baylor Homecoming. Yes, our dog Jake does have his own Baylor jersey. Jake and daddy played on campus and had lots of fun.

Then, we went to England! We stayed with a friend (in the house seen below!) for several days. It was so beautiful. We had a relaxing time enjoying the grounds and drinking British tea.

My friend Abby got married. I went to San Antonio to be a bridesmaid for the first time.

After the wedding on Saturday night, I flew to Boston at 6am Sunday morning. I won an essay contest and the prize was travel to Boston for the American Public Health Association conference. There were about 12,000 people there for the convention. I learned a lot about my field and I also got to hear Paul Farmer (www.pih.org) speak. I didn't do a lot of sightseeing, but I did manage to walk through the Boston Public Garden and snap the shot below.

Seeing your best friend is always great! I was her date to a wedding. (And yes, friend, I did steal this pic off your blog because I liked it so much!)

The You Little O Family at Thanksgiving.

Whew! I am tired. :) Lots of traveling and lots of fun. With finals almost over, I am definitely looking forward to Christmas and time off from work.
